Vitafin for Gemini
Gemini connects to outside tools as custom apps. Add the Vitafin address once and Gemini can read your accounts, cards, bills and budgets, and write back into a queue you approve. Each account stays in its own currency, and any cross-currency total is labelled an estimate with the date of the rate used.
The address
https://vitafin.io/mcp
New to Vitafin? Create your account first: email, code, done. Fourteen days free, no card, then one price for your country.
Set it up
- At gemini.google.com, open Settings, then Connected Apps.
- Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app.
- Paste https://vitafin.io/mcp as the address.
- Sign in with your email and the six-digit code Vitafin sends you, then press Allow.
Set it up once on the web and it then works in the Gemini apps on Android and iPhone too. There is nothing to install and no password to keep.
Three things to ask
- What did I spend this month, and on what?
- Log 850 for groceries on the ICICI card.
- What is due before the 10th, and what is the minimum on each card?
Anything Gemini writes lands in the review queue in the Vitafin app first. You see the entry, you approve it, and only then does it count.
What this does not do yet
Google currently restricts custom apps to personal Google accounts, and to some regions. If you are signed in with a Google Workspace account, the Custom apps section may not appear at all, and there is nothing we can do from our side to change that. If you do not see it, the quickest test is to sign in with a personal account.
Only the Gemini web app at gemini.google.com takes a custom MCP address. You cannot add one from the Android or iPhone app: add it on the web, and the connection then shows up on both. AI Studio, the Gemini API and the command line tools are separate surfaces and are not set up from this page.
Vitafin has no bank aggregator and no open banking connection. Transactions come from bank SMS and bank email parsed on your device, from statements you import through an assistant, or from what you log yourself. No app asks for SMS permission: you paste or share the message.
These steps were checked on 20 September 2026. Google changes the Connected Apps screen often, so if a menu has moved, the address above is still the only thing you need.
Elsewhere
The same address works in ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Cursor and VS Code: see all the clients. For the transport, the OAuth details and the full list of 63 tools, see the MCP server page.
